Emmy Award Win for Informational/Instructional Content

Your friendly neighborhood bandits are officially Emmy Award Winning friendly neighborhood bandits. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has announced the winners for the 65th Annual Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards and we’re honored to have won alongside our friends at WTTW News / PBS for our series “WTTW News Explains”, taking home the statuette for Outstanding Achievement for Informational/Instructional—Short & Long Form Content.

The award winning series: WTTW News Explains, is an ongoing series of animated explainer videos exploring various Chicago-focused topics such as: what happens to your ballot after it is cast? How are Chicago property taxes calculated? Why is Chicago low-key trash at recycling? And how does the lake effect work, anyway?

Check out the whole series and WTTW News reporting on each topic here.

We’ve had an absolute blast working on this project with our colleagues and collaborators at WTTW and are delighted to have that work recognized by the industry! Congrats to all the winners and nominees!
