The Perks of Working With a Creative-Run Studio
There are a lot of different types of creative businesses out there—advertising agencies, design studios, marketing firms, yadda yadda—and with them, a lot of different company / leadership structures. One of those structures is the magnificent (and sometimes rare) creative-run structure.
Yes—some places deign to put the wiley creatives at the helm! Shocking, but true. But, what does that mean for you—the client?
Why should you work with
a creative-run studio?
Aside from the fact that we, The Banditry Co.,
are creative-run and awesome, here are a few simple perks of hiring a creative-run studio. Oh,
and because we’re creatives, we made this list alliterative…sorry not sorry.
Communication
When you’re working directly with the creatives—the people doing the work—you cut out the frustrating game of telephone. Why ask an accounts guy whether or not your product can be rendered realistically in 3D and shown flying through the skies of ancient Rome? He doesn’t know. You know who does? The guy or gal who would be responsible for making that happen.
In a creative-run studio, you talk with the creatives. You get answers to questions. You know about potential problems or challenges immediately. You know that the person doing the work “get’s you” or your brand because they are working directly with you or your team at every step of the way. There is no running things up the food chain or getting lost in translation. There’s just your brand and the creatives—working together to tell your story and blow your audience’s mind.
Consistency
When you hire any studio or agency, you should be hiring them because you like their work, their style or their process. But at some agencies (especially larger ones) the creative department can be a revolving door. You loved their work on X campaign in 2015? The brains behind that campaign, strategic or creative, might not even work there anymore.
We hope that if you hire The Banditry Co., you are hiring us because you like us and our work. As a creative-run studio, we’re pretty confident that our creative team isn’t going anywhere—if they did, The Banditry Co. would cease to exist entirely.
Creativity
This goes without saying — but we’ll say it anyway: When you hire a creative-run studio, you’re going to get creative results. We aren’t interested in selling you on some hot new marketing trend or convincing you to do a flash mob or create a viral video, unless we feel those things will A) support your brand B) engage your audience and C) make you stand out from the sea of other jargon and trend peddling “marketing” in the world.
We want to capture your brand’s essence and tell your story in a way no one else has. Creatively.
